Electronic Communications Consent
Last updated August 4, 2026Your consent
By selecting the electronic-consent checkbox and submitting an application, you agree that The Contractor Institute may provide your application decision, agreements, policy notices, payment and enrollment confirmations, account notices, support updates, program records, and other transaction-related communications electronically.
Delivery
Electronic records may be delivered by email, through the secure member portal, or by a link to a record you can view, download, and print. When a required record is posted only in the portal, we will send a separate notice to the current account email. Keep your email address current and check spam or filtering settings. Legal delivery rules and any program-specific agreement control over this general description.
Hardware and software
You need a current web browser, internet access, a working email account, and software capable of viewing HTML and PDF files. You must be able to download or print records for your files. Submitting the form confirms that you can access this page and the linked policies electronically. If these requirements materially change, we will disclose the new requirements and obtain renewed consent when required.
Paper copies and withdrawal
You may request paper copies of electronically delivered transaction records without an Institute copying fee or withdraw consent for future electronic records by emailing admissions@thecontractorinstitute.com. Include your name and application number. Withdrawal does not invalidate records already delivered. If you decline or withdraw electronic delivery, the Institute will provide available application and agreement records by paper or another lawful method without an added delivery fee; processing may take longer, and an online purchase or portal workflow may pause until the alternate method is complete.
Electronic acceptance and record retention
Purchase acceptance is tied to the named applicant, application number, selected offer, amount, agreement title and version, acceptance time, and transaction record. A customized Business Buildout Statement of Work requires a separate electronic acceptance by both parties and a separate authorization for the second $5,000 payment. The accepted version controls over a later website edit. We will provide a copy of the accepted order or transaction summary in a form that can be retained and printed.
Updating your information
Email admissions when your email address changes. We may still provide a record on paper or through another lawful method when appropriate.
