Website & Contractor Advisory Scope

Last updated August 1, 2026

Launch Library · $1,500

The Launch Library does not include a website build or private contractor-advisory session in the base program. Members may request a Starter Site or individual 60-minute advisory session as a paid add-on, subject to availability. The exact fee, start date, and scope must be accepted in writing before booking or production begins.

Guided Launch · Starter Site

Guided Launch includes one mobile-responsive Starter Site of up to five standard pages. The normal page set is Home, Services, About, Projects or Reviews, and Contact. The build includes intake-led website copy, responsive layout, contact-form setup, connection to one member-owned domain, basic on-page search structure, analytics setup, and two consolidated revision rounds.

The target delivery window is 30 business days after the Institute receives a complete intake, approved business name, accurate license and service information, logo or approved wordmark direction, required images, domain access, and one decision maker's approval to begin.

Business Buildout · Signature Site

Business Buildout includes one custom Signature Site of up to ten standard pages. The build may include custom conversion architecture and copy, service and service-area pages, About, portfolio or case-study presentation, reviews, contact and lead capture, mobile-responsive development, analytics setup, and a basic local-search and technical foundation. It includes three consolidated revision rounds.

The target delivery window is 45 business days after the required strategy call, written scope confirmation, and receipt of the complete intake, business facts, approved brand assets, required images, domain access, and decision-maker approvals.

Revision standard

A revision round is one consolidated list of changes submitted by the member's designated decision maker after reviewing the complete presented stage. A round does not include a new brand direction, replacement business model, material change in services, new page architecture, or pages beyond the included limit. Additional work requires a written change scope and approval before it begins.

Hosting, domain, and transfer

Institute-managed website hosting is included for 12 months from the public launch date. The Institute will provide renewal terms at least 30 days before the included period ends. The member may renew managed hosting or request transfer of the completed site to a reasonably supported destination. No Institute transfer fee is charged after the applicable program and website balance is paid in full.

The member owns and controls the domain. Domain registration, business email, premium software, paid integrations, third-party platform charges, and provider subscriptions are separate unless a written scope expressly includes them.

Ownership

After payment in full, the member owns the final approved site-specific copy, supplied assets, and custom design and build files created for the member. The Institute retains ownership of its preexisting curriculum, workflows, reusable systems, internal methods, templates, and tools. Third-party fonts, software, photographs, plugins, and other licensed materials remain subject to their own license terms.

Member responsibilities and schedule

The member is responsible for accurate company, service, license, insurance, testimonial, pricing, warranty, and contact information; lawful rights to every supplied asset; domain and provider access; and timely approvals. Consolidated feedback is due within five business days of each presentation. Late, incomplete, or conflicting feedback moves the delivery target by at least the length of the delay.

The Institute does not publish a contractor license claim, project image, review, guarantee, or regulated statement until the member confirms that it is accurate and authorized.

Excluded unless added in writing

Custom software, customer portals, ecommerce, advanced CRM or estimating integrations, multilingual builds, logo or full identity design, original photography or video, paid advertising, ongoing content production, ongoing SEO, reputation management, accessibility certification, legal drafting, regulated compliance review, and pages beyond the included limit are excluded unless added through a written scope.

Contractor owner advisory

Guided Launch includes two private 60-minute sessions and Business Buildout includes four private 60-minute sessions with an in-house contractor who has more than 20 years of operating experience. Sessions may address estimating judgment, project operations, hiring, client communication, field controls, owner decisions, and implementation priorities. Sessions must be used during the active program term and have no cash value.

Contractor advisory is practical business and operating guidance. It is not legal, tax, accounting, insurance, engineering, architectural, safety-certification, or licensing-agency advice and does not replace the appropriate licensed professional or government authority.

No performance guarantee

A website or advisory session does not guarantee rankings, traffic, leads, sales, license approval, profitability, or any other result. The member remains responsible for business performance, claims, follow-up, marketing activity, and compliance.

Scope confirmation

The included scope above controls unless the Institute and member sign a more specific written project scope. Questions and add-on requests may be sent to admissions@thecontractorinstitute.com.
